Heights Bungalow Remodel
This project was recognized as a Texas Association of Builders 2019 Star Award Finalist.
This Heights bungalow remodel was necessary to accommodate a growing family. The second floor needed a more functional layout there was originally a bedroom, bath and large room. We reconfigured and designed upstairs to be 2 bedrooms, one master with a master bath and remodeled existing bathroom. The stairs were in the way of the kitchen and needed to be relocated, a laundry room was installed under the new staircase.
On the first floor the kitchen was reconfigured and fully remodeled and we opened the space to the family room so the space was more inviting. New hardwood flooring dark stained was installed throughout the house. The kitchen has white shaker cabinetry, subway tile backsplash and custom floating shelves. There is no upper cabinetry which gives a more open feel, however a large wall with floor to ceiling cabinets. The living area has a remodeled fireplace with new hearth and marble facade. We installed a new french doors in the family room. The home has new covered back porch, HardiePlank siding and a beaded ceiling is now under the carport.
